Creative Arts Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative and art media as its primary mode of expression. This form of therapy is suitable for any age group and no experience in art making is required.
As a creative art therapist, I aim to create an environment that is confidential, safe, supportive, & non-judgmental, and which facilitates processing, understanding, & coping with difficult emotions and life situations through the use of art, in an enjoyable, relaxed manner. People come to creative art therapy for whole range of needs, including anxiety, bullying, self-esteem issues, worries, anger, frustration, intellectual or physical disabilities, mental health concerns, loss, and bereavement, to name a few. Creative arts therapy has been shown to help in:
